Should I Really Rotate My Pet's Food?

Everyone used to say, "If you find a pet food that works, stick with it!"  However, this is not the case.  Once you get your pet onto a high-quality food, (contrary to popular belief) it will not upset his or her stomach to switch around proteins.  In fact, it is highly recommended.  Nature's Variety's website had this to say about rotating diets -

"Just like you wouldn't eat the same thing every day, neither should your pet.  When you rotate foods, your pet benefits from the diverse nutrients unique to each protein source, and enjoys a variety of wholesome tastes. By feeding a variety of foods, you are giving your pet a diet more like what he or she would eat in nature.  Rotating can help provide biologically appropriate weight control, sustained interest in the food dish (especially for that picky eater), and better overall health and happiness.  Importantly, by rotating foods, your pet is less likely to develop allergies to certain proteins.
